How to work on articulation with your child AT HOME!

Does your child have difficulty producing certain sounds? Is your child in speech therapy for articulation? If so, we want to teach you how you can help your child work on speech sounds AT HOME! 🎲 You will need: A game, coloring activity, OR a puzzle.
1️⃣Determine what sounds your child is having difficulty producing.
2️⃣Ask your child’s SLP what level of the articulation hierarchy your child is on (words, phrases, sentences?)
3️⃣Ask if your child is working on sounds in the initial, medial, or final position of words.
4️⃣ You model the sound/word first.
5️⃣ Your child will repeat the sound/word 3-5 times (mirror is optional).
6️⃣Your child will take a turn playing the game (have fun)!
7️⃣You take a turn! You should say the target sound or word. Repeat it 2 times. Say one of the productions INCORRECTLY! Have your child be the judge 👍 👎🏻
8️⃣ Continue this until the game is over!
⭐️ Remember to position your body facing your child. Have them look at your mouth as you model the sound/word. Exaggerate the sound/word! And most importantly...Have fun!!!
