Recipe:

Batata Vada:

Ingredients:

1. 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
2. 1 onion, finely chopped
3. 1 teaspoon ginger paste
4. 1 teaspoon garlic paste
5. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
6. 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
7. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
8. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
9. Salt, to taste
10. 1/4 cup gram flour (besan)
11. Oil, for frying

Garlic Chutney:

Ingredients:

1. 10-12 garlic cloves
2. 1/2 cup grated coconut
3. 1/4 cup tamarind paste
4. 1/4 cup water
5. Salt, to taste
6. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder

Vada Pav Assembly:

1. Fried Batata Vada
2. Pav bread
3. Garlic Chutney
4. Green chutney (optional)
5. Chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare Batata Vada mixture, shape into patties.
2. Fry vada until golden brown.
3. Prepare Garlic Chutney, blend until smooth.
4. Assemble Vada Pav with fried vada, pav bread, garlic chutney, and green chutney (if using).

Tips:

1. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor.
2. Adjust chili powder to desired spice level.
3. Serve immediately for crispy vada.

Variations:

1. Add cheese or sev for extra flavor.
2. Use whole wheat pav for healthier option.
