3 - A bridge
4 - A dental implant

Options for replacing multiple teeth start with a removable denture. Although this is the most cost effective option (usually around $1,500 for a denture), some people don't end up wearing it because it's not actually giving them much function.

An alternative to a denture is a bridge. Generally it's not advisable to replace multiple teeth with a bridge because it starts putting so much load on the teeth next to the bridge that you risk fracturing the next teeth. But it could be something to consider with your dentist, look at how your bite comes together, but generally it's not something that's done.

When replacing multiple teeth your options are usually either a removable denture or implants. Instead of placing an implant per missing tooth it's quite predictable to put an implant either side of the gap and then you can put on a bridge to the top of that. So its disadvantage really is the cost, these implants are about $2,900 each and then the bridge on top might be another $4,000 and, again, you need quotes from your dentist on top to see exactly what that might be.

Its advantage is that it's fixed to the jaw, it's not something you're going to have your palate covered with acrylic or chrome, and it certainly gives you much more chewing power than a denture would.
