Is that what PREDESTINATION and ELECTION means?

Does God just FEEL sending people to hell?

Maybe you have heard people use the terms CALVINISM and Arminianism or calling themselves Calvinists…

This is not about what Calvinists say vs arminians, this is about WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES

Besides, there is a problem with adopting these titles because Paul rebuked the church for beginning to say things like, “I am of Paul, and I am of Apollos,” rather than all being of CHRIST ALONE.

How much greater error is it to call yourself by the name of a man who is even FURTHER removed from Christ Himself.
You are not to be called by ANY other name than Christ Himself and you are not to have ANY other teacher who’s teachings carry more wait than The Words of Jesus Christ.

So this is NOT a lofty theological debate, where we need to know the manmade terminology behind every manmade theology…

This is a simple matter of truth vs UNTRUTH

If the bible doesn’t back it up from cover to cover, YOU shouldn’t believe it, no matter how intelligent the argument or person sounds.

But IT IS STILL a serious PROBLEM and it HAS to be corrected in LOVE
and this is why:

Anything we BELIEVE about God that is NOT TRUE ultimately hinders our relationship with Him.

“who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. “
1 Timothy 2:3

If it is NOT who He IS then there is a gap between the REAL GOD and YOUR PERCEPTION OF HIM

The doctrine of PREDESTINATION according to FAVOURITISM is false and misleading

The blanket statement: GOD IS IN CONTROL is very MISLEADING
This is an OVERSIMPLIFICATION of the SOVEREIGNTY of God

YES God is all powerful, yes God is sovereign and will hold everyone accountable,

But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

The SPECIFIC problem I want to address is this idea of DETERMINISM
The idea that GOD IS HARDENING SOME AGAINST THE GOSPEL because HE HAS NOT AND WILL NOT EVER CHOOSE THEM FOR LIFE
BUT RATHER HE HAS PREDESTINED THEM FOR HELL ACCORDING TO HIS OWN WILL


They are taking the very real instances where GOD DID sovereignly harden the hearts of very few and very specific people for His ultimate purpose of making REDEMPTION through Jesus Christ possible

And trying to apply those moments of TEMPORARY hardening in an ETERNAL and UNIVERSAL way.

According to this misguided understanding of predestination and election, God didn’t just foreknow who would go to heaven and who would go to hell,
He chose you for hell and YOU ARE ETERNALLY AND UTTERLY HOPELESS.

You cannot do an “EXEGESIS” on ROMANS CHAPTER 9 and end up with anything reliable, you have to interpret everything in the context of the entire letter.

So you have people reading Romans chapter nine where Paul talks about the hardening of hearts, and ignoring Romans 11 where Paul talks about God having MERCY on the exact same people He has just hardened in Romans 9
