Eerie sounding dust devil at 12,400ft on Jones Pass

I heard this coming for about a minute before I could see anything. It was nearly dead quiet where I was, but I heard this eerie whooshing and paper tearing sound from up the ridge. Eventually started recording video, but still couldn't see anything for about 10 more seconds (I think it was crossing over grass and/or bare rocks), then finally saw this tight little devil work down the slope, across the road. It actually continued on for a bit past the truck at the end for another 20 seconds or so without lifting any dust and then petered out.

Just prior to this I had been flying my sailplane on the west side of the ridge, and immediately after this, the wind switched to coming from the east side, and continued on the rest of the afternoon.
