Hello and welcome! I’m Derek Schraner, and this is the Lockdown Ludonaut channel on YouTube, the home base for my original gamebook videos.

Lockdown Ludonaut is the name of my publishing imprint, where I design, develop, write, and publish interactive books. "Lockdown" reflects my personal experience of rarely leaving my home, as explored in my first book, Hikikomori. "Ludonaut" speaks to how I navigate life through game mechanics, a kind of exploration through design.

This channel is an experiment for me. I tend to focus more on creating than promoting, so video updates will likely come in focused bursts: periods of production followed by moments of sharing.

For each project, I plan to release a "Reveal" video, a "How to Play" guide, and possibly a "Deeper Dive" podcast and slideshow.
