Subsea Connectors - Multi Connector Cable Assembly Design Wizard

The wizard guides you through a structural approach to multi-connector cable assembly/harness design.

1. Users identify the number of connectors they will be using in the cable assembly.

2. Each section of the cable is entered as a separate cable length, before and after the split. e.g A double ended cable assembly has 1 cable section and Y-Split will have 3 cables sections

3. Users can select these from available options on Anekonnect's database

4. Once the selection is done, users can create a wiring diagram with mouse click and drag. Connector and Cable stencils show up on the schematics grid based on selections made earlier.

5. Users are then prompted to enter the test specifications for the cable assembly design, e.g. pressure ratings needed, or the DWV ratings and Hi-pot tests.

6. Users can review their design on the review page, before submitting for modeling.

7. Before modeling and engineering drawing files are requested, users, can edit any part of the assembly design, share it with their colleagues and customers and use other collaboration features on the site.

8. Once a request for modeling is submitted, the users cannot edit the assembly. This is the way to enforce that revision is done according to engineering change notice process.

9. After the modeling request is submitted, a cable assembly CAD model is generated and the files are made available to download from assemblies' review page, or My Assemblies page. The user will see both after logging in to anekonnect.io

10. Use of the site is a free service offered by Anekonnect. Creation of cable assembly model with corresponding engineering drawing file is a paid service on the site.
