Despite what some people think, Chick-Fil-A is just as bad for you as any other fast food-- which is really bad!

That's why I set out to replicate the chicken sandwich with proper ingredients, and explain some of the common dangers with processed foods.

Note: I did put pickles on the sandwich, they just got lost in the edit!

Recipe:

Buns
1/2 Cup Hot Filtered Water
1/3 Cup Organic Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Raw Organic Honey
1 Pasture-raised Organic Egg
4-4 1/2 Cups Freshly-milled Flour
(3-way Blend of Hard Red, Hard White, and Kamut)
2 teaspoons Real Sea Salt
1 Tablespoon Organic Yeast

Kneed by hand or in bread machine
Shape into buns on baking sheet and cover
Let rise for 30 minutes
Bake at 400 for 15-18 minutes
Butter tops and let cool

Pickles
1 Organic Cucumber
2 Cups Filtered Water
2 Cups Organic Vinegar
2-4 Chopped Dill Sprigs
1 Bay Leaf
1 Pinch Real Sea Salt
1 Pinch Organic Ground Black Pepper

Chop Cucumber into medallions of desired thickness
Submerge in jar with Brine-Vinegar solution
Add Dill, Bay leaf, and pepper

Refrigerate for 1-2 hours minimum

Chicken Filet
2 Boneless Skinless Organic Non-GMO Chicken Breasts
1 Cup Raw Organic Grass-Fed Milk
1 Pasture-raised Organic Egg
1 Cup Freshly-milled Flour (Kamut, Soft White, or Cornmeal)
2 teaspoons Real Sea Salt
1 Pinch Organic Ground Black Pepper
1 Pinch Organic Paprika
1 Pinch Organic Ground Chili Pepper
1 Jar Grass-Fed Beef Tallow for frying

Thin Chicken Filets by cutting in half horizontally
Soak Chicken in leftover Pickle Brine in fridge for 20 minutes
Dip soaked Chicken in egg-milk solution
Evenly coat Chicken in Flour-salt-seasoning mixture
Heat stove on medium/high heat under pot or skillet with Beef Tallow
Fry until golden brown (flip if not fully submerged)

Fries
5-6 Medium Organic Russet Potatoes (I used red potatoes in the video)
1 Jar Grass-Fed Beef Tallow for frying

Heat stove on medium/high heat under pot or skillet with Beef Tallow
Fry until golden brown (flip if not fully submerged)
Salt to taste with Real Sea Salt
