Objectives
This session shall sensitise responsible persons in politics, associations and funding institutions for the necessity and the possibilities of generating and exchanging strategic knowledge. It shall show why cooperative management of knowledge by funding programmes and institutions is key to speed up energy transition. Using the example of the JPP SES Knowledge Community and various approaches at EU level, it will be shown how the results of research, development and innovation projects can be compared, evaluated and combined in a targeted manner to form a basis for the development of funding programs and legal frameworks and at the end for products and services. Experts in knowledge management and representatives of existing knowledge platforms will show ways in which actionable knowledge can be generated and made available from relevant data and information. Special attention will be paid to the cooperation between the EU member states as well as the systems of the EC and those of the national level.
