The European Union has announced two green hydrogen energy investments into South Africa.
The investments are a R140 million that will go to Transnet to help with issues of Trade and half a billion rand (R500 million) that will go to the green hydrogen energy.

EU Energy commissioner Kadri Simson is in the country and signed the agreement with the South African government in Pretoria.

The investment has been described as an opportunity to re-industrialise the SA economy.
