From the RCWRT's documentary, "The Civil War in North Carolina: The Final Campaigns, 1865." One film in a series. Originally released on DVD for the 150th anniversary of the Civil War to generate donations that helped conserve the 30th NC's state flag for display at the NC Museum of History in Raleigh.

Filmed on-site during the sesquicentennial events in 2015. At the time, John Guss was the site manager. A Civil War re-enactor, John portrayed General Sherman for the commemoration events. He also was in the movie Glory, has written historical books, and has been involved in historic preservation and film projects.
