Welcome to Episode 7 of my solo overland journey in the Toyota Land Cruiser LJ79!
After an unforgettable time in Betong, I hit the road once again—this time heading north through Yala and into the coastal province of Pattani, Southern Thailand.

This leg of the journey brings a mix of new discoveries and unexpected challenges. From exploring the quiet charm of Yala town to camping right on a stunning spit sand bank in Pattani, this episode has a bit of everything—including my first real test on the road: falling sick while overlanding. 🤒

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. I hopped on a borrowed bicycle for a short ride to the tip of the sand bank, soaking in the serenity of this unique coastal landscape before settling in for the night.
