Virtual Ancient Rome in 3D - Imperial Forums: Forum of Peace

Описание к видео Virtual Ancient Rome in 3D - Imperial Forums: Forum of Peace

Where did the Romans keep the spoils from the Jerusalem Temple? Which forum did Pliny the Elder consider one of the three most magnificent buildings in the world?
Today we set off for a walk through the Forum of Peace, a magnificent structure built by Emperor Vespasian with funds received during the Jewish War. The Forum and/or the Temple of Peace were intended to become a symbol of the coming era of well-being and prosperity.
In 10 minutes we will tell you about the main features of this structure, about its history, about what famous artifacts were stored here, and also show several of comparisons 'then and now'. Enjoy!

Our goal is to create the most extensive, detailed and accurate virtual 3D reconstruction of the Eternal City. This part of our project is one of the most up-to date ones, we took recent excavation reports and investigation into account. However, there are still things to inprove this 3d model in future - to add painted statues, reliefs etc, as well as show its lateral libraries, which are not mentioned in this video so far.
