The name of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra is known to all, irrespective of country, castes or creed. Thakur is a real phenomenon in today’s world. He possessed that force that was once seen in Sree Krishna, or Jesus Christ or like other prophets. He appeared in a small village in undivided Bengal in the year 1888. From this unknown village, emerged such a personality that keeps enlightening the whole world with HIS unique life and teachings.

He designed a full-fledged sketch of life - how to live and how to grow. He proclaimed, “Do never die, nor cause death, but resist death to death.” He upholds all the possibility of evolution for an individual along with marital life, society and the whole world, keeping intact one’s instinctive pattern. He delivers the true definition of ‘Dharma’, in accordance with the needs and problems of the ages. Accepting HIM as ‘Guide’ or ‘Guru’ in one’s life, one can surely reach the destination and must realise a blessed existence.

Right from HIS childhood, Anukulchandra took a scientific view of life in order to probe deep into the source of being. His normal habit of thinking was that every object of nature, animate or inanimate, is unique and is throbbing with life or consciousness. Later, he carried on his scientific approach to a higher and still higher level proclaiming that death is a disease and that ‘mento- molecular readjustment’ in tune with the ideal can be an answer to this disease. He championed because of existentialism and proclaimed to the world that religion is not ‘Dharma’. ‘Dharma’ is one because the prophets of the world have propagated the message of the “ONE”, and only satanic impulse differentiate one prophet from another. He was averse to institutional religion and visualised a socity and a state which will be based on “Barnashram”, i.e, grouping of the varities of instinct.

Satsang evolves from Sree Sree Thakur. Actually, no organization is meaningfully possible without “HIM”. From His birthplace, Hemaitpur (in the district of Pabna, Bangladesh) to His next abode Deoghar, Satsang centres around ‘HIM’. But, at the last phase of His bodily presence and particularly after His demise, satsang could not able to keep itself intact. On the questions of His principle and practice, some of His devoted followers founded an Ashram at “Gidhni” in West Midnapore (West Bengal) at the junction of Bengal, Bihar (Now Jharkhand) and Orissa, to carry out His mission without distortion.

Unfortunately, His succession has turned the clock back under the leadership of the power that be. It is high time that Thakur should be liberated from misconceptions created by some powers. HIS ideas about education, family integration, individual existential upliftment, through the repetition of the Name and meditation, reformation of the society in line with ‘Barnashramic tradition, creation of a state and then a world’s state without the so called democratic system and bringing about a revolutionary change in economics through the practice of “Swastayani’’ are still eluding the grass of HIS followers.

In this context, the only aim and objective of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra Satsang (Gidhni Ashram) is Sree Sree Thakur HIMSELF and exclusively Sree Sree Thakur.
