This is my fingerstyle guitar cover of the timeless classic “Autumn Leaves” (Les Feuilles Mortes), originally composed by Joseph Kosma. First written in the 1940s with French lyrics by Jacques Prévert, this beautiful melody later became one of the most beloved jazz standards of all time. Its simple yet deeply expressive harmony has touched generations of musicians and listeners.

For this arrangement, I used a light bossa nova feel, giving the piece a gentle rhythmic flow while preserving the emotional depth of the original melody. I play this version on my classical guitar, as the warm and dreamy sound of nylon strings perfectly complements the reflective nature of Autumn Leaves and the autumn atmosphere surrounding this performance.
