The Greatest Beer

The Pilsner’s awful tasty, especially with a lime!
Get me a stout, and I’ll shout out every single time!
A lager lubricates so well, whether amber, pale or dark!
And a brown beer porter’s in great order when I wanna hit the mark.

When I’m feeling something special a frosty ale can do the trick.
Or an IPA can change the day and do it plenty quick.
A honey beer might first seem queer when it’s drank in place of mead.
But if I take a sip, or take a rip, I thank the wheat and bees!

So many beers to choose from.
So many cross my path.
There’s hoppy, bitter, rich and full
Forget the aftermath!

There’s fruity and there’s malty
There’s bottled, brewed and canned.
But the greatest beer, I hold to dear,
Is whatever’s in my hand.

I can sip it like a lady.
I can gulp it like a drunk.
I can chill it in the freezer
I can drink it with a monk.

I can buy it by the six pack
But I’d rather brew on my own.
Then like my Finnish friends I’ll make amends
And drink it all at home.
