The History of Minas Ithil/Morgul - Region Spotlight

Minas Morgul, known in its former days as Minas Ithil, was the city of Isildur of Gondor, and it stood in the Mountains of Shadow, close to Mordor. The city changed hands throughout its history in Tolkien’s Middle-earth, sometimes being a seat of the Men of the West, and at other times being a seat of the thralls of Sauron.
