When doing this experiment, ensuring you’re using air dried, freshly washed hair that aren’t styled or have any product on them.

Hair porosity is largely genetic and also dependant on the kind of haircare/treatments/colour you’ve done to the hair. The porosity may change overtime with the right haircare.

⏺️ High Porosity

This is when the hair sinks to the bottom and absorbs moisturise but cannot retain it. Haircare ranges with oils such as the Argan Oil range from @discover.pilgrim and the Extraordinary Oil range from @lorealparis, the Argan Oil one by @lovebeautyandplanet_in or one of my favourites the @cantubeauty Shea butter range or the @palmers olive or coconut one. I recommend using creamy leave ins like the @lorealparis No Haircut Cream or similar ones. The @olaplex range _in is also very effective on this hair type.

⏺️ Low Porosity

This is when your hair floats on top. Hydrating haircare ranges like the @lorealparis Hyaluronic acid range, @mauimoistureindia hibiscus water shampoo @suganda.co clarifying shampoo @moroccanoil_in clarifying shampoo.

⏺️ Medium Porosity

This is also currently my hair type. I use a mix of both sort of products. I do lean more towards high porosity when my hair are severely damaged so the key is to minimise heat, and to damaging semi permanent treatments to maintain this porosity level.
