Day 1 & 2: Exploring the Cultural Heart of Bali – Ubud
We kicked off our journey in Ubud, known for its lush jungles, traditional Balinese culture, and serene vibes. After checking into a peaceful jungle resort, we set out to explore the Tegallalang Rice Terraces — one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Bali. The green landscape is unbelievably beautiful and gives you that true “Eat, Pray, Love” experience.
We visited the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, where cheeky monkeys roam freely around ancient temples. It was both fun and slightly terrifying — hold on to your snacks! Later, we took a peaceful walk along the Campuhan Ridge Walk, soaking in scenic views and fresh mountain air.
Don’t miss trying the local dishes in Ubud — Bebek Betutu, Nasi Campur, and fresh coconut straight from the tree!
Places covered in Ubud:
• Tegallalang Rice Terrace
• Monkey Forest
• Campuhan Ridge Walk
• Tegenungan Waterfall
• Saraswati Temple
• Ubud Market
Day 3: Adventure in Nusa Penida – Bali’s Hidden Gem
A short fast boat ride took us to Nusa Penida, a rugged island with dramatic cliffs and unreal beaches. Our first stop? The legendary Kelingking Beach, which looks like a T-Rex from above. We hiked down to the beach — the trail was steep, but the turquoise waters at the bottom were worth every step!
Next, we visited Angel’s Billabong, a natural infinity pool carved into the rocks, and Broken Beach, a coastal arch that feels like a dream. The island is raw, beautiful, and definitely deserves a full-day trip or even an overnight stay if you can.
Tip: Wear good shoes and carry water — the terrain is rough and the sun, unforgiving.
Top Spots in Nusa Penida:
• Kelingking Beach
• Angel’s Billabong
• Broken Beach
• Crystal Bay (for snorkeling)
• Atuh Beach (if you stay longer)
Day 4-5: Beach Life in Seminyak & Canggu
We returned to mainland Bali and headed straight to Seminyak, Bali’s more luxurious and laid-back beach town. Here, we checked into a beautiful pool villa and spent the day lounging on Double Six Beach with sunset cocktails in hand.
The next day was all about Canggu, a hipster paradise filled with Instagrammable cafes, street art, and surf spots. We explored cafes like Crate Cafe, The Shady Shack, and Cafe Organic, all offering vegan and healthy food options that were as photogenic as they were delicious.
At night, we visited La Brisa Beach Club, one of the most aesthetically pleasing spots on Echo Beach. Watching the sunset with chill music and a coconut in hand was truly unforgettable.
Cafes & Beach Clubs to Try:
• La Brisa (Canggu)
• Potato Head Beach Club (Seminyak)
• Motel Mexicola (for party vibes)
• Cafe Organic
• Kynd Community
Day 6: Uluwatu – Temples, Cliffs & Epic Sunsets
Our next destination was Uluwatu, famous for its towering sea cliffs, ancient temples, and elite beach clubs. We started our day at Uluwatu Temple, perched right on a cliff with the ocean crashing below. The view was surreal and the Kecak Fire Dance performance at sunset gave us goosebumps.
Next, we explored Padang Padang Beach (you might recognize it from Eat, Pray, Love) and Suluban Beach, both hidden behind cliffs and caves. The vibe here is laid-back and surfer-friendly.
We wrapped up our day at Single Fin, a clifftop beach bar with live music and jaw-dropping sunset views. It was the perfect way to end the adventure.
Must-Visit in Uluwatu:
• Uluwatu Temple + Kecak Dance
• Padang Padang Beach
• Dreamland Beach
• Single Fin (bar/restaurant)
• Sundays Beach Club
Day 7: Slow Day, Souvenirs & Reflections
Our final day was all about slowing down. We checked out some local art markets in Ubud and Seminyak to buy handmade souvenirs, wood carvings, batik prints, and local coffee. I also booked a relaxing Balinese massage and spa treatment, which I highly recommend before your flight back.
It gave us time to reflect on the past week — the people we met, the flavors we tasted, and the memories we captured. Bali is more than just a destination; it’s a feeling.
