Ratchet & Clank PS4 Theory: A Parallel Universe

What if Insomniac Games were to introduce the idea of a parallel universe in Ratchet & Clank? Of course, the series has already introduced us to different dimensions: the Netherverse and the Lombax dimension.

What the series has shown us so far are alternate dimensions/universes. What if the R&C re-imagining is actually a parallel universe coexisting with the classic one? Would it be too far-fetched to say that classic Ratchet could meet this new Ratchet?

I assume that the same characters exist in both universes; however, how events occur, that is what's different. For example, Grimroth (not mentioned in the video). What if Grimroth had raised Angela in Going Commando? Are the Lombaxes actually still alive in the re-imagined universe?
