KALLMÜNZ. Visiting the best places at the idyll near Regensburg + the ruined castle.

Welcome back. The district of the catholic town Regensburg has many interesting places to see like the spooky Wolfsegg castle or the Hall of Liberation at Kehlheim. Also Kallmünz is known village called Kallmünz is an amazing place. Find out more in my video which is a village but has a castle, a marking place and a small city center.

My tour to the different places at Kallmünz:
I visited the village called Kallmünz loceated 25 kilometers far away of Regensburg. I went from the old Stone bridge to the small marking place at next in the church and from the church along the ways in front of the massiv calk rocks. It was a hot day but on the river called Naab were only a few number of people. For the lunch time I went in the only Italien restaurant which is the best option to eat by a temperature of 31 degree. After the lunch I followed the street from the marking place on to the end and came on a cave in the calk wall where a house wall was built in form of a house in a cave.
For the end of the tour I made a hiking tour to the ruined castle over Kallmünz. The tower was open and at the top I could enjoy a view to the a distance of 48 kilometers like to Schwandorf, to Regensburg and the last mounains of the Bavarian forest and Amberg.


Kallmünz and the region:
Kallmünz is a village loceated 25 kilometers far away of Regensburg in the center of the district called "Oberpfalz". The village also is known as the idyll of the east part of Bavaria and next to Regensburg and build with its small marking place, the Saint Sebastians church and its ruined castle a lowly villge in the landscape. Kallmünz was in the past and is still a popular place for artist and also for couples which come for its wedding far away to the village.
From the ruined castle which was in the past built by the Lords of Laaber is streeching the view to Längenfeld, Schwandorf and to the last mountains of the Bavarian forest.
The river Naab give with its splaching sound and quiet feeling an opportunity to go by boot.
Famous events at Kallmünz is the Jazz weekend, the bridge festival as well.

An amazing tip for your next to Kallmünz is the known Wolfsegg castle with a famouns say of Klara von Helfenstein the white woman.
