Crime decreasing along Salt Lake's Jordan River Trail after increased patrols lead to 150+ arrests

According to the Salt Lake Police Department, there has been a 54% increase in arrests related to criminal activity along the Jordan River Trail and North Temple — leading to over 150 arrests in 2024 so far.

Officials with Salt Lake police said from October 1, 2023 to May 10, 2024, officers with the department devoted more than 3,200 hours to the area.
