Описание к видео Land & People: A Conversation with Dolores Huerta & Luis Valdez - POST Wallace Stegner Lecture

Peninsula Open Space Trust and our partners at the Dolores Huerta Foundation, Puente and Latino Outdoors were honored to host American civil rights leader and United Farmworkers co-founder Dolores Huerta for a conversation with founder of El Teatro Campesino and renowned American playwright Luis Valdez.

In this special talk, Dolores and Luis reflected on their long history in the Santa Clara Valley, their work in the struggles for social and environmental justice, and perspectives on relationships between history, land and people in California. The conversation was moderated by José González, founder of Latino Outdoors.

This event was produced as part of POST's 2021 Wallace Stegner Lecture series. Learn more and get tickets for upcoming lectures at OpenSpaceTrust.org/wsl-2021.
