CCM XS Factory Flare Hockey blades sharpened on a Sparx machine with NO extra cross grinding test. Used the largest radius of hollow Sparx grind ring I have a 7/8 inch (22 mm) . Sparx Snail cam setting of 4. This is what I use for normal hockey skates. To fully clean up the factory blades took 14 passes on one and 24 on another blade. New blades of any type often require more passes to get to a sharp edge for the "1st" sharpening. Afterwards often just 2 passes are enough for touchup and 4 to 6 for worn or a blunder like stepping off the rubber matts at the rink
