AEG Upgrades for Beginners | Fox Airsoft

A common question from newbies that we get is what are some upgrades that can be done to make an AEG perform better? Here's a basic list of stuff you can do before you go deep into the rabbit hole. These mods do not require gearbox work, though we will cover that in the future for those who are interested.


The gun in this video is an Echo1 N4 Mk18 and we installed a Madbull tight bore barrel and bucking. It went from 1.14 joules to 1.54 joules after those changes. The rate of fire with the stock motor and a 9.6v was 13-14RPS and jumped to 18-20 RPS after the new motor and battery. More can be gained with additional gearbox work but this is a great start for anybody.
