Delete snapshots older than 7 days

Explanation:

Each run creates a new dated folder in /backup/incremental/.

Uses rsync --link-dest to create snapshots with hard links, saving disk space.

Updates /backup/full/ as the latest reference copy for the next run.

Delete old backups older than 4 weeks

Explanation:

Creates a compressed full system backup named by date (e.g. full-2025-06-23.tar.gz).
Excludes special system directories that don’t need to be backed up.
Automatically deletes backups older than 28 days (4 weeks) to save disk space.
You can adjust the retention period or move old backups elsewhere instead of deleting them.
To automate weekly backups, add a cron job, for example:

0 3 * * 0 /usr/local/bin/backup_tar_full.sh
→ runs every Sunday at 3:00 AM.
