🤰🏻If you’re considering or planning an unmedicated birth at home, you MUST prepare.

😮‍💨Try this simple but impactful exercise to stay calm & reduce pain:

👉🏻Close your eyes.

👉🏻Breathe in your nose for 4.

👉🏻Breathe out your mouth for 6.

👉🏻Relax your face and your jaw.

🧘‍♀️This will calm your mind AND your body.

😴Deep, relaxed breathing. No fancy patterns like you see in the movies.

Normal, relaxed breathing to promote relaxation is especially helpful in the early first stage of labor.

💪🏻This not only trains your body to fully relax in early and conserve energy but to STAY relaxed when things get intense later.

It teaches your mind to work WITH your body.

🔄In order to REDUCE pain during labor, you must first break the fear-tension-pain cycle.

😖When you feel afraid, you tense up causing MORE (and unnecessary) pain.

🔑Practicing relaxation every day until labor begins is key!

🙌🏻You will become better and better at relaxing during tense moments.
