What a fantastic evening it turned out to be: Niels Lan Doky (piano), Darryl Jones (bass), Harvey Mason (drums) and Ernie Watts (saxophone) aka Modern Standards Supergroup. The gig was moved from Stage 1 to the smaller (but cozier) Stage 2 due to poor ticket sales. God knows why? Probably because the much loved hockey team played on that same day or the fact that the locals prefer watching Melodifestivalen on the telly at home. Anyways, here’s a stunning version of Herbie Hancocks jazzfusion song from 1973 ”Chameleon” with co-writer and before named Harvey Mason on drums.
