Early footage of T&D OSP's are rare. So this never before seen black & white rinkside footage of their OSP from the 1978/79 British Ice Dance Championships held 41 years ago in November 1978 is as rare as hens teeth. I also doubt this was ever broadcast or even recorded by the BBC at the time so this really is a fantastic piece of footage. Skating to the Masquerade Waltz they were now coached by Betty Callaway and, due to an injury to reigning champions and 1977 Janet Thompson and Warren Maxwell, were the overwhelming favourites to take the British title for the first time, which of course they did.
