February 2024 Lunch and Learn: Fatherhood

Описание к видео February 2024 Lunch and Learn: Fatherhood

The University of Pittsburgh's Clinical and Translational Science Institute, the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, the New Pittsburgh Courier, and UPMC's Center for Engagement and Inclusion work together to deliver quality health education on critical public health topics each month through the Community Health Series Partnership.
In February, the Community Health Series Partnership will focus on fatherhood and the role it plays in health and wellness for both parent and child. We will highlight relevant research around fatherhood, including findings from the Parenting While Black initiative. We will also explore the ways in which engaged fatherhood can reduce the impact of trauma and toxic stress in children.
Join us on February 22nd, as we hear Dr. James Huguley and Dr. Paula Powe, two of the University's most prominent leaders in this space.

School of Social Work

Paula Marie Powe, MD

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh partners with the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and UPMC's Center for Engagement Inclusion to put together the monthly "Take
Charge of Your Health" page in the New Pittsburgh Courier. The goal of the Community Health Series Partnership is to center the community's voice alongside the academics presenting their work in this space. We hope to generate opportunities to co-create and co-learn around health topics of relevance
