As Europe's largest club festival, the Reeperbahn Festival offers several hundred program items around the Reeperbahn in Hamburg over four days every year at the end of September and is one of the most important meeting points of the music industry worldwide. Initially conceived as a pure music festival, the event took place for the first time in 2006. Since 2009, an extensive art program has been offered in addition to concerts. Since then, the festival has also served as a business platform for companies and organizations from the international music and neighboring digital industries. In 2019, the 14th edition of the Reeperbahn Festival featured 900 program items from a wide variety of categories for over 50,000 trade and festival visitors (by days) from all over the world, in more than 90 venues in St. Pauli. In 2020 and 2021, the Reeperbahn Festival took place in a pandemic-friendly manner with fewer visitors.

The Reeperbahn Festival was a co-production of the Reeperbahn Festival GbR/ GmbH with Inferno Events GmbH & Co. KG and has been organized by RBX GmbH since 2022
