This is the video of the Explosion Press Conference regarding moving from Everett to Monroe. This move was for the Everett Explosion basketball team to move to a new arena that would be built at the Evergreen Fair Ground.

This original move was due to the fact that the Everett Event Center was unable to get the Explosion weekend game times. The Everett Silvertips have contractual control of scheduling back in 2007 and did not allow for dual sports teams at the same time.

This move was supported with Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon with a plan to help build a new arena at the fair grounds. This is something that was not disclosed at the press conference but was planned the following year.

This press conference was attended by Monroe Chamber of Conference, the Monroe Mayor, and other key staff for monroe.
