Councils love to spend time talking about "woke nonsense" as Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp is set to lobby against Australia Day celebrations, Sky News contributor Caleb Bond reports.

"On Tuesday night at the City of Council meeting she'll be saying that Australia Day is hurtful and damaging and that the council should no longer ... celebrate Australia Day anymore," Mr Bond said.
