Restoring 40 Year Old Ford Interior PVC Plastic Trim | Fix Cracks, Clean, Texture, Paint

Our 1988 Ford IDI flatbed brushfire truck conversion has its work cut out for it -- pulling a 36' 5th wheel RV through Mexico to Belize where it (and us) will permanently reside. It will never be a show truck, but we're giving it a complete once over in preparation for the overland journey.

The interior PVC plastic trim pieces are sun-damaged, cracked and worn from 4 decades of heavy use. Here, Mike gives us a look at the process he's using on all the interior trim panels including, cleaning and prep, ABS cement repair on cracks and broken pieces, quick texture tips and paint matching. The end result isn't show quality, but is a great improvement. "Tweety" will soon be ready for his next great adventure.
