Adrenaline pumping and senses heightened, journey with us on an elephant hunt that was unforgettable, humbling, and unlike any other.

In an area severely overpopulated with elephants, we venture into the dangerous, thick veld of the Save Valley Conservancy after one of Africa's most formidable big game animals.

Listening out for the sound of trees crashing, or the softest rustle of leaves, our wits were about us and eyes were peeled, searching for the slightest movement or white flash of ivory. From two elephant bulls napping in the cool shade of a mopani forest, to a close encounter that had us moving out just in time to escape. With 20km a day tracking, and very early mornings we worked hard. And it paid off.
