The Nintendo Gamecube was originally known by its codename "Project Dolphin", and was meant to be the successor to the N64 console. The GPU, codenamed "Flipper", was originally developed by a company named ArtX, which was later acquired by ATI. The CPU in the GameCube also had a codename, "Gekko", and was a custom designed IBM PowerPC 750. I wonder if that chip has a gecko on it?
