Creating a Mixed-Use Urban Center in Cities Skylines 2

In todays video we're creating a detailed, modern development type, and that’s going to be a mixed-use urban center project. Essentially, it's a suburban downtown. At the heart of the build will be a walkable urban area, with good transport links. However it won’t be a standalone build within modded Cities Skylines 2 city, it’ll be surrounded by a number of higher density commercial and residential buildings. And for this type of build to work, it will need easy access to arterial roads or highway roads and plenty of parking. It will feature an open civic space, plenty of vegetation cover, and similar building densities surrounding the development

This development will help spur more population growth and act as a destination for the transport hub we created in the last episode.

I'll guide you through the different elements of the build, show you where things were a bit more challenging and the detailing, and of course, I'll show you the finished product at the end.
