Prepare for the revolution because I’m taking a look at Adrian Tchaikovsky’s fantasy novel The City of Last Chances.

Taking place well outside of a traditional fantasy setting, this novel has a startlingly broad scope and a plot that centers around a social and political upheaval in Ilmar, an occupied city, when an unexpected death causes even greater friction among the factions and individuals all trying to advance their competing agendas.
