Imran Khan News: '85% Vision Loss' Ex-PM Imran Khan To Stay In Secure 10-Room Facility For Treatment

Former Pak PM Imran Khan will be moved from Adiala prison to a secure medical facility for urgent eye treatment after suffering partial vision loss in his right eye. Khan’s vision problems stem from a blood clot in his right eye, causing severe damage and limited vision. The high-security facility will be Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital, with 10 rooms reserved exclusively for his care. The specialist treatment will be overseen by the Department of Vitreo-retina, which handles serious retinal diseases. Khan first reported blurred and hazy vision to jail authorities but was only given eye drops initially. His lawyer Salman Safdar said the lack of timely specialized care left Khan 'visibly perturbed and deeply distressed'. After Safdar approached the court, authorities allowed Khan to access personal physicians and phone his sons. Strict security measures will govern his movement within the facility, including a sealed road and controlled passage to the operation theatre.
