The Let’s Eat Healthy Leadership Award celebrates California leaders and change-makers who educate, inspire and empower children, families and communities to develop lifelong healthy eating habits. In 2022, the award program expanded to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations that improve nutrition education and access to nutritious foods to make a positive difference in the health of their communities and beyond. Meet the 2022 Let’s Eat Healthy Leadership Award winners: Dawn Soto, Senior Food Service Training Specialist at Los Angeles Unified School District; Heather Cruz, Physical Education, Health and Wellness Coordinator at Chula Vista Elementary School District; Niaomi Hrepich, WIC and CalFresh Healthy Living Program Director at Monterey County Public Health Department, ImagineU Children’s Museum; CalFresh Healthy Living, University of California; and Linda Allen, Reading Specialist and Health and Wellness Coordinator at Sundale Elementary School.
