Karnataka Announces 27.5% Pay Hike for Government Employees from August 1

Karnataka 7th Pay Commission: On the second day of the monsoon session of the Karnataka Assembly, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is set to announce a 27.5 percent pay hike for government employees under the Seventh Pay Commission. The Karnataka cabinet decided on Monday to implement these recommendations effective from August 1, benefiting over seven lakh state government employees. Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge stated, "Seventh Pay Commission was one of the demands of the people and it was also there in our manifesto. Yesterday we brought it into the Cabinet and it will benefit around 14 to 15 lakh state employees."
