This video is a complete solo build from start to finish of a survival/bug-out shelter, using only a saw, axe, mini-shovel and my hands. I don't use any tarps or cordage in this entire build, it's about as spartan as you could get.
In a SHTF situation, Mark and I would prefer our bug-out group to build shelters to sleep under rather than having a 'shanty town-like' area with tarps suspended above all of us. After all, what better camouflage is there than the very ground we walk on?
That's why I went out and built a shelter for myself. To get the experience for when the time comes. Mark would have accompanied me on this venture, but at the time of recording his arm was still healing from injury.
