So what's Earthing?!

Firstly, did you know that our body was designed to be in constant connection with the Earth 🌍

The human body requires a constant source of negatively charged electrons in order to neutralise and prevent an excessive build-up of positively charged free radicals.  

When we build up too much positive charge, it leads to an unhealthy amount of free radicals in the body - which in turn leads to oxidative stress and inflammation.

You should also know this! prolonged oxidative stress leads to DNA damage, inflammation and an increased risk of multiple illnesses, including heart disease, central nervous system diseases, autoimmune and inflammatory disorders and cancer. Scientists have also shown that oxidative stress may play an important role in the ageing process itself.

To summarise, our body needs to maintain a balance between positive and negative charges.

The good news is - Earth’s surface is covered by a blanket of electrons, which may act as one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants and antiinflammatories. 

Every time we come into contact with the Earth’s surface, we are able to absorb these electrons through our skin through a process called grounding, or Earthing.

Grounding during sleep provides the body with multiple hours of these free electrons, at a time where the body undergoes the most healing and regeneration.

Ok now the real question❓How many minutes or hours in day do you come in contact with the earth's surface? The grass, the soil, walk barefoot or lie on the ground?

The problem is that when we become disconnected and don’t regularly come into contact with the Earth’s surface. 

So @rowlandearthing has come up with an innovative solution with their earthing sheet. These sheets look similar to our bed sheets and connects to the earthing rather than the electrical connection.
