Hi, and welcome to the Nicepage video lesson on how to start with Nicepage for WordPress.
Nicepage is available as a Windows and Mac OS application, WordPress and Joomla plugins, and an Online builder.

In this video lesson, we will explain how to connect the Application and WordPress Plugin. You will learn how to upload the Nicepage Theme, Plugin, and Pages on your WordPress site.
Please note that WordPress CMS and Wordpress.com are two different WordPress systems. They are incompatible.

Nicepage is only for WordPress CMS and not for WordPress.com. You can download it from WordPress.org and install it on your hosting or use hosting with the installed WordPress CMS.

What Is WordPress?

WordPress is a content management system, or CMS, with a design part called a theme and a content part, which includes pages and blog posts you can edit via the dashboard.
A WordPress theme usually includes a header, footer, blog style, store style, general colors, fonts, and typography. With Nicepage, you can create your own theme.

As for the content, WordPress's built-in page editor is limited design-wise. Nicepage has a powerful editing tool that makes WordPress pages look creative and interesting.

The Nicepage Editor works as a plugin. You can create and edit pages easily and directly in WordPress with natural drag-and-drop. However, Nicepage is not for editing pages created with the default WordPress Editor; you should create pages with Nicepage.

In addition to the Nicepage plugin, you can build pages using a desktop application or an online builder. The Application is the simplest way to start building websites; for now, it is the only way to create and edit a WordPress theme.

You should export the site with a theme and pages in a zip package and then import this zip file to WordPress.

Create a New Site

Run the installed Application. You will need to log in or sign in. Then, you can open an existing site or design a new one. To create sites, please watch other videos.
When your site is ready, you can export it to your WordPress.

Export For WordPress

Click the Publish button. Choose WordPress. Enter the File Name and Path.
The Theme and Editor Plugin options are selected by default. The package includes the Theme, Plugin, and Pages. Additionally, you can export the e-commerce templates for WooCommerce. Click the Export button to export the zip.

After exporting, the folder with the package zip is opened automatically.

WordPress Admin

Open your WordPress site, installed on your hosting or locally on your PC.

Open the WordPress Admin. Usually, it is your site name slash wp-admin. Go to Appearance, then Themes, and click the Add New Theme button.

On the Add Themes page, click the Upload button. Browse the exported and click "Install Now."

After the theme is installed, click Activate.

Import Wizard

The Activation starts the Wizard. Click the Install Plugin button in the dialog to install the Editor Plugin.

Your installation package zip contains the Editor Plugin, Pages, Posts, Products, Images, Sidebar, Menu, and the Editor Plugin. To continue, click the "Import Content" Button.
Please note that if you have previously imported pages and want them replaced, click "Replace previously imported Content." Otherwise, you will duplicate pages, which is unnecessary.

Reading Settings

Click the Visit Site to preview.

By default, your WordPress site shows the Blog page as the home page. To change this, you should change the Reading settings.

Click the Home icon to return to the WordPress Dashboard. Then, go to the Settings, then the Reading section.

Choose the Static Page option for your Homepage, then choose the Homepage from the list.
Click the Save Changes button to save the Settings.

Click the Home Icon again.

Now you see the Home page, which you exported from the Application and imported on your WordPress site.

Edit Pages In WordPress

After installing the pages, you can edit them directly on your WordPress website using the Editor Plugin.
For example, open the Home page from Pages, then Home. Click Edit with Nicepage to start the Editor.

You can edit the page naturally, similar to how you do that in the Application or Online Builder, and save changes.

We have finished the lesson about installing a theme, plugin, and pages to your hosted WordPress site.

We hope you find it helpful.
