Savage | Benaiah: The Lion Chaser
The story of Benaiah is found in 1 Chronicles 11:22-25, and although it is only 4 verses, we find out a lot about this man. Simply put, he was a Savage.

Some notable moments of Benaiah's life:
1. Killed two "lion-like" men from Moab
2. Killed a 7'6" Egyptian with his own spear
3. Killed a lion in a pit on a snowy day
We focused on killing the lion (sin) in the pit. Students are challenged this week to not just isolate their lions, but rather chase them down, end their influence in their life.

Three Focuses:
1. Don't Forget Where You Came From
Benaiah's father was a Godly man. This is not an excuse for him to stand down, but rather step up.
2. External Circumstances Can't Handle Your Inner Power
If you have a life devoted to God and prayer is your first language (not gossip, etc), and the Spirit of God lives inside of you, then...greater is He who is in you, than He who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
3. You Are Not Trapped with a Lion, The Lion is Trapped with You
switching your perspective puts you in control, not your sin
