Cayman Brac - Piper's Wall - GROUPER FRIEND!

Starting the dive at Piper's Wall, we hit a beautiful swim through. It starts around 50 feet and we exit at 100 feet. The light shafts make this a GREAT SWIM THROUGH! Once we hit the wall we start cruising with the wall to our right. Unfortunately, we miss a LARGE turtle at the top of the wall. Sad Soup :( Then a GIANT GROUPER comes up to me face to face. Happy Soup :) It is now a dive buddy of ours! It literally follows me and is kind of a camera hog at times.

I think the reason this happens now is that in the past the Dive Staff used to have two divers in the water and one would spear Lionfish. The Grouper would then chow down on the dead Lionfish. So, my theory is that they look at the first person coming at them with all these bubbles and think it is feeding time. They don't allow the Dive Staff to do the spearing anymore due to this observed behavior, from what I have been told.
