These rava bonda are really tasty and crispy and make perfect tea time snacks. Bonda are generally prepared with some stuffing inside besan coating and then deep frying. Alu bonda is a famous one. But these rava bonda or rava pakoda are different. We don’t really add stuffing, but we mix all ingredients together and then deep fry. Plus, to prepare these rava punugulu we don’t need besan or wait for any fermentation as well. prepare them quickly that adults and kids are going to love alike. How to make suji bonda?

To make sooji bonda we need to mix all the ingredients, and then deep fry. So first we will mix rava, curd, rice flour, maida, salt and baking soda. Once the thick batter is ready add chopped onions, mirch, ginger, curry leaves and keep aside for some time. Finally, we heat oil in a kadai and deep fry. Once the color changes to golden take them out and serve hot.

You can serve rava bonda with coconut chutney or ketchup based on the preference.

Rava 1 cup
Curd 1/2 cup
Rice flour 2 tbsp
All purpose flour 1/4 cup
Ginger 1 inch
Onion 1 small
Curry leaves few
Coriander leaves handful
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste
