KODAK Portrait 3D Printer | CES 2018

Kodak is "going into a new dimension" and has announced a 3D printer. We talked to Marcelo Ruiz Camauer, CTO of Smart International.

The aim of the printer is reliability and consistency for a wide variety of users. This multi-user printer can plug into social media/storage accounts to share time lapses and files.

The frame is made of 2mm solid steel and the magnetically attached heated bed is 3mm of aluminum. The machine is enclosed to keep heat and noise inside, fingers and dust out. It also features a ball screw which moves the z-axis and a HEPA filter for fumes.

The Kodak Potrait will be shipping in March or April of 2018. A handful of materials are already available with more to come.
