This morning, as I was walking back after harvesting pineapples, I witnessed something that broke my heart...

On a quiet forest road, two young boys sat silently by the roadside. The older one was trying to comfort his little brother — who was crying uncontrollably. The younger boy was too hungry to walk. He was exhausted, sobbing in despair.

Without hesitation, I took out the bread I had and gave it to them.
As they took each bite with trembling hands, tears still on their cheeks... I couldn't hold back my emotions.

I kept asking myself:
Why must children go through this?
Where are their parents?
Do they even know these boys are hungry… are suffering like this?

I'm just a poor woman living with my son in the mountains, struggling every day — but in that moment, sharing a piece of bread felt like sharing love and humanity.
And that gave me strength.
