Polish Hazelnut Honey Cake | Easy Five Ingredient Cake Recipe:

Feel like having a cake but don't have all the ingredients that you would normally require? Fear not! Polish Hazelnut Honey cake literally requires just five ingredients to make. You could even skip the hazelnut for almonds or raisins! Try it, and fall in love with it.

Ingredients for Polish Hazelnut Honey Cake / Easy Five Ingredient Cake Recipe:

Eggs - 4
Breadcrumbs - 115 gms
Hazelnuts - 115 gms
Honey - 170 gms
Brown sugar - 50 gms
A little butter, margarine or oil to coat the cake tin. If none is available, line your cake tin using parchment paper.

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 160 degree Celsius.
2. Chop the hazelnut into tiny bits using a food processor or knife.
3. Prepare the cake tin by greasing with butter and coating with a thin layer of breadcrumbs.
4. Separate the eggs and set aside.
5. Over a double boiler, warm up the honey and add the sugar and egg yolks.
Whisk continuously until light and frothy. Remove from heat.
6. Mix the breadcrumbs and hazelnuts and add to the honey egg yolk mixture.
7. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold in with the honey egg yolk breadcrumb mixture.
8. Bake for 30 minutes.
9. Cook in tin for five minutes before removing from pan and cooling completely on a rack.
10. Top with more chopped hazelnuts and drizzle with honey before serving.
